Smelt is a desktop application developed and published by Comet3D, formed in 2014. This policy explains what data we collect - and more importantly, what we don't.
The application
Smelt does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Your files never leave your computer.
Smelt runs entirely offline. It does not require an internet connection, does not phone home, and does not include any telemetry, analytics, or crash reporting. All assets and textures you import are processed locally on your machine. No data is sent to Comet3D or any third party.
Steam
Smelt is distributed through Steam. When you purchase, download, or update Smelt, those transactions are handled entirely by Valve Corporation. Comet3D does not have access to your payment information, Steam account details, or any personal data collected by Valve during these processes.

This website
The smeltapp.com website is hosted by Hostinger. When you visit this site, standard server logs may be recorded by the hosting provider, which can include your IP address, browser type, and access timestamps. These logs are managed by Hostinger in accordance with their own privacy policy and are not accessed or processed by Comet3D for any purpose.
This website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services.
Contact and support
If you contact us via email for support or feedback, we will use your message and email address solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add support emails to any mailing list, and we do not share your contact information with third parties.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we may hold. Since Smelt does not collect personal data through the application itself, these rights are most relevant to any direct communication you may have with us via email.
